Michael Donabedian is a veterinarian by training and education. He graduated from the Veterinary School of Lyon in 2004, before doing a specialization in equine medicine and surgery. After 5 years as a vet in equine veterinary private practices, he decided to give a curve to his professional life toward more research oriented activities. In 2002, he joined the French Institute of Agronomics Research (INRA) to perform a PhD on the juvenile joint diseases of horses.
Immediately after his PhD, he took in 2006 a position of scientific manager in Vetoquinol, an independent, top 10 global animal health group. After a Master of Management at HEC (Paris), he took in 2011 the head of the Innovation Department. He is since 2013 heading a department in charge of research, medical, and intellectual property. One of the main mission of this group is to bring therapeutic Innovation to the company specifically in the area of infectious diseases, inflammation, parasitology, and reproduction.
