Jeanine Vos is Executive Director, Connected Living at the GSMA, leading initiatives that help unlock the consumer, societal and business benefits of the Internet of Things (IoT). The GSMA represents the interests of 1000+ companies in the mobile communications industry worldwide.
Jeanine’s mission is to stimulate growth and innovation in mobile IoT services around the world, through projects, research and strategic partnerships that help GSMA members deploy services into vertical sectors. These focus on innovation and implementation of digital services in health, smart cities and automotive sectors, and aim to address horizontal market enablers such as technology, policy and regulation.
Jeanine is responsible for defining the strategic direction of these projects, working closely with member companies and key ecosystem stakeholders around the world to identify, prioritise and execute activities, and communicate findings.
Prior to this, Jeanine managed key policy and regulatory programmes and communications at the GSMA as Director of Regulatory Affairs. Working with industry, policy makers and regulators at regional and global level, she has led initiatives on subjects including socio- and economic benefits of mobile, taxation policy, spectrum licensing, IP interconnection, and net neutrality.
Before joining the GSMA in 2005, Jeanine worked in the mobile industry for five years in the areas of Public Policy and Strategy. She holds an MSc from the Delft University of Technology and an MSc from the London School of Economics.
