In 1991, I joined the group of Charles Theillet in the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Montpellier for my post?doctoral training to work on the involvement of p53 and HPV in prostate cancers. In 1993, I joined the INSERM group of Mehmet Ozturk in the comprehensive cancer Centre Léon Bérard in Lyon where I initiated a research project on UV stress and p53 response as associated researcher. I became Maître de Conférences in 2002, at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University Claude Bernard Lyon1, and work in the group of Alain Puisieux at the 590 INSERM unit where I initiated new research projects aimed at elucidating genetic instability in colorectal cancers and was one of the first group in the world showing involvement of RNA interference mechanism in breast cancer progression. I obtained my Habilitation to Direct Research in 2006, at University Claude Bernard Lyon1.
