Pr. Marc Janier, born on 1962, in france, graduated from Medical school in Lyon in 1990. He received his Ph.D degree in “Génie BioMédical” in 1998 on Multimodal imaging of myocardial perfusion. After a postdoc position in the USA (Washington University Medical School, St Louis), he became professor of Medicine (Biophysic and Nuclear Medicine) at the Claude Bernard, Lyon 1 University. He set-up a multimodal in-vivo imaging platform dedicated to rodents “ANIMAGE”. He was the head of a clinical nuclear medicine unit at the Edouard Herriot Hospital in Lyon, and coordinator of a scientific theme for the Canceropole CLARA on “Nanotechnology, imaging and oncology”. He has more than 110 scientific publications, and 5 patents.
He coordinated and delivered courses on Biophysic and medical imaging mainly for the initial training of medical students. He recently set-up a Small Private Open Course (SPOC) (2nd year medical school) - MOOC on medical imaging (ImageMed) supported by the Université Claude Bernard Lyon1.
